When I create a Omnis client backup, why are there three files created?

  1. When you create a client backup in Omnis from the Demographics Menu:

  2. Three files are created:
    • elxxx.db3_backup
      This is a backup of your own added matrix items.

    • patientsxxx.db3_backup
      This is your actual client backup. 

    • reportsxxx.db3_backup
      This is your smart report backup for each client.

  3. When you install Omnis on a different or new  computer these files are used to restore your clients, smart reports for each client as well as your own added matrix items.
